The Jazz Speakeasy: Thursday 17^th September Speakeasies were illegal bars that thrived during Prohibition, and the lively, upbeat music of jazz bands, including the Dixieland style from New Orleans, provided entertainment for the patrons. Join Paul Higgs & his Storyville Steamers Dixie Jazz Band for a magical afternoon. A great band with a wonderful vocalist in Heather Simmonds capture that Dixieland vibe plus the sounds of Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Jelly Roll Morton.
