Oxford Stories & The Secret Village: Tuesday 3rd August.

Oxford Stories & The Secret Village: Tuesday 3rd August. A quintessentially English day out explores the many stories from Narnia and Alice in Wonderland to Tolkein and Philip Pullman and from Brideshead Revisited to Inspector Morse. We begin in a Morse pub at 10.30am for morning coffee & biscuits included before striking out with a top notch Blue Badge Tour Guide into the Oxford of story tellers. It’s a flat and gentle walk that anyone with a stick will manage quite comfortably. Back at the pub enjoy a slap-up fish & chip lunch before a short coach transfer to the River Thames at Folly Bridge for two little cruises past Christchurch Meadow and the university boat houses to the secret village of Iffley. We discover an absolute gem of a church and a pub that you can’t reach by foot where there’s time to buy a cuppa or a G&T watching the boats pass through picture postcard Iffley Lock before we cruise back to Folly Bridge. You’ll be ready to drive home from Folly Bridge Oxford at 5.45pm.  With few overseas visitors this is a great year to see Oxford, trip including morning coffee & lunch, Thames Cruise & Blue Badge Guide throughout.  Price £59.00 per person. Coach will depart Stevenage at 08.30.
